Back Alley Music brings out the music enthusiast in all who pass through its doors. First, there’s the all-new CD selection, Vinyl Records, new and used, which gives you that kid-in-a-candy-store feeling. Expertly arranged in alphabetical order by musical styles and genres, the store is easy to navigate and sure to please music aficionados looking for those harder-to-find releases. And if they don’t have it, they’ll do a special order at no extra charge.

It’s also an excellent place to get turned onto new music. Music fills the air as the small shop owners spin new releases with accompanying record reviews, and there’s an entire wall stacked with the latest releases and recent reissues. Although the store clearly favors all things PEI, the helpful staff is as eclectic in their tastes as they are knowledgeable about them. In fact, Owner Michelle Morrison goes that extra mile to ensure customers are treated to a vast array of sounds and information.

An added bonus is that the shop also boasts the provinces best selections of music-related books, magazines and DVDs. With good tunes on the stereo, a comfortable atmosphere and tons of items to browse, you’ll be tempted to stay for hours. But when it does come time to buy, you’ll notice the store's price tags are actually quite attractive, mirroring and sometimes beating that of some of the chain stores.
