The Carriage House in New London, PEI, is an authentic early 20th century carriage house.
For many years, the barn-wood building with a tin roof and big sliding doors once stood
next to the nearby church. There, it provided shelter for horses and carriages while the
parishioners attended services. The building was moved to it's present site several decades
ago and now it has found a new use as a ' rustic meeting and reception space'.
The Carriage House sits on the crest of a wooded hill overlooking the Southwest River.
There is an impressive view of New London Bay and the Cavendish dunes on the
island's north shore.
The Cariage House offers 2,000 square feet of covered meeting area. In addition, there
is a 500 square foot outdoor patio. The Carriage House can accomodate tables for about
75 guests attending a sit-down function. For a stand-up reception, The Carriage House
would be comfortable for about 150 guests. There is ample parking on site.
In addition, The Carriage House is located next door to Gallery 18, which is the largest
antiques and fine art shop in Prince Edward Island.
