Jym Line Glassware

In 1969, Jim and Linda Adams started their business in their family home. Originally the company’s focus was as a promotional distribution company, re-selling mostly wearables (t-shirts and sweatshirts), glassware crests, pins, etc. Over the years the focus switched to screen printing and eventually to becoming Atlantic Canada’s only professional decorator of glassware and ceramics. To reflect those changes the company’s name changed from Jym Line Products to Jym Line Glassware.

Jym line is a major importer of blank glassware including coffee mugs, beer mugs, bar ware, wine glasses and BPA free water bottles; we sell to distributors, wholesalers, and retailers including wineries, breweries, and restaurants. Jym Line also has the ability to custom decorate food containers, wine bottles, beer bottles and preserve jars. Jym Line has the capacity to fill orders from as small as 72 (1/2 gross) to a run of 300,000. The company has an in-house graphic department as well as an in house decal department to create the images.

Technical info

The company has grown from the family living room to a 3000 square foot space on Agricola Street to a 6000 square foot space in the Bluewater Industrial Park and now into a new, custom designed 12,000 square foot facility in Elmsdale’s East Hants Industrial Park. The new facility has a kiln that is 69 feet long and four feet wide, with a stainless steel belt that will allow us to process up to 1000 pieces per hour, as well as six semi-automatic printing machines. We look forward to future success with the support of local business, realizing what there is to purchase and offer in their own backyard.

WHY CUSTOM DECORATE DRINK WARE ???

Custom decorated glassware is the ideal way to showcase your establishment and brand. The major beverage companies have been custom decorating for decades. This is a proven and effective way to have your brand recognized. Often times custom decorated ends up in the consumers home for daily use which promotes your establishment. This is most effective for college towns and tourist destinations. There are many options for decorated drink ware, buy a beverage, keep the glass; this is straight revenue boost as well as a huge promotion. Having it permanently borrowed show casing in dormitories, homes and cottages with an endless supply of consumers drinking out of YOUR glass. Add your town name and the product is a souvenir that can be purchased for a profit; you would be surprised how many people collect beer glasses and steins. Incorporating a silent pour line within the design where only your servers know; on average the server over pours by 2-3 oz per glass, this will definitely be a cost savings.

There are many options for the decoration process from multi-colour, ideal for complicated designs and usually produced on a larger scale. Single colour, cost effective incorporating a common colour from a design. An extremely classy option is to print in an etch look, simplifying a multicolour design into an etch look print with elegance. All of the decorations by Jym line are permanently fired at 1120 degrees Fahrenheit. In most cases the product of decorated ware is less expensive than when it is purchased plain, from a food service supply company. On certain items it may only be a small percentage cost more for a great value added product.
